I’ve never really been a sandal kind of gal. It was always sneakers and socks. I foolishly put up with feeling uncomfortably hot in the summer months just because wearing anything else was unimaginable. This was until I discovered slip-on sandals – where have they been all my life? This wakeup call lead to finding killer style look-a-likes for sandals frequently worn by fashion enthusiasts and models alike. The other great thing is that they’re easily attainable and, if you choose right, will never go out of style. For someone with naturally straight hair, it’s always been somewhat of a struggle getting my hair to hold a curl or maintain volume – until now. A hydrating face mask does wonders to replenish a dehydrated skin – from my experience anyway. I’ve heard countless YouTubers note the importance of using a hydrating mask before or during flights as the air in an aeroplane is recycled and thus very drying to the skin. Individuals with dry skin have especially been known to break out after long flights. Keeping this in mind I decided to try out a face mask before my trip to Cape Town. Step 4: the makeup This seems to be the largest problem area when it comes to these events. No-one really knows anything about makeup and so everyone ends up looking rather strange. Most people get makeup artists to do their makeup for them but personally, I think some of the makeup artists in South Africa don’t really know how to make you look like a better version of yourself – they end up making you look much older than you are. Mac cosmetics is a safe option to have your makeup done at but always go for a test run first and see how theRead More →
